International students have reached to 200.000 as a result of state policies of the internationalization in Turkish higher education. Over the past 20 years, Turkey has reformed their internationalization policies and developments which has ultimately enhanced the outcome of successful transformation in the Higher Education System. This fruitful outcome was recognized by the president of Council of Higher Education in Turkey, Prof. Dr. Yetka Sarac.
With the current standing of 54 Memorandums of Understandings (MOU) signed between Turkey and 39 other countries, Turkey was able to expand cooperation and internationalization in Higher Education. This expands from students to faculty members who can reap from these benefits. Some of the collaborating countries are Japan, South Korea, Malaysia, Pakistan, Taiwan, Romania and Macedonia.
